I’m now using this blog for random rantings and also to post new projects I’m currently working on in photography. There will still be the occasional post about the Doo Dah Parade, but since it’s only active a few days out of the year there probably won’t be much on that. I’m still working and volunteering with The Light Bringer Project! (They run the Doo Dah Parade, as well as the Pasadena Chalk Festival and Room 13.)
My fond affections,
Queen Skittles
On November 23, 2008, I was nominated to be the 32nd Doo Dah Parade Queen. This blog is to update everyone on the happenings and experiences I encounter as Queen over the next year. Please comment and ask questions! Don’t be shy!
Cheers,
Queen Skittles
P.S. Check out the “My Favorites” page to see what I like to drink and eat and watch and listen to!
Hi Julie, I was thrilled to read and hear about your coronation! For reminders, I am the woman who wrote the original story that Sally Levi adapted into Eaton’s Water, the dramatic short you recorded at many locations with your camera. Your photos really added a lot to our opening at Art Center. I am glad to see you out and about, and hope your photography career is going well. Just heard from Sally in Maine, she is having a good time there. Happy New Year and we’ll try to go to the parade this year.
Best,
Michele
